Flave is a fast-casual restaurant that has made a name for itself by offering a delicious and sustainable meat-free alternative menu.
Founded by husband and wife duo, Stuart and Samantha Cook, Flave’s mission is to “Flave the world” with their mouth-watering and mind-blowing flavours.
After successfully establishing their flagship store in Bondi Beach, Flave was ready to expand and needed capital to fund their ambitious goal of having 1,000 locations by 2030. To achieve this, they turned to equity crowdfunding and raised an impressive $891k.
Stuart & Sam used to be avid meat eaters until a health scare where a severely ill Sam had to be airlifted to hospital.
As they learned more about the impact of food on both human health and the environment, they realised that it was challenging to find delicious, nutritious and convenient food that was good for both people and the planet.
This realisation became the driving force behind their mission to create a sustainable and meat-free menu.
They are also not alone.
With nearly one in five Australian’s conscious about reducing their meat consumption, we were confident that there would be no shortage of interested investors.
Our strategy revolved around promoting Flave’s mission and values. We created Google and Facebook campaigns targeting relevant audiences with messaging geared to generating interest by discussing the scale of the opportunity due to the shift in consumer attitudes and cultural norms towards less meat.
More so than any other ECF campaign we prioritised short-form video content to prioritise telling the story of the founders, their ethos and their history.
By focusing on the founders we were able to tell a very compelling & engaging story that resonated with our target audiences of socially-conscious investors.
By leveraging Instagram and Facebook videos, Flave was able to generate over 1,000 expressions of interest, which translated into a significant investment of $891,000.
In conclusion, the success of Flave’s marketing campaign is a testament to the power of social media in generating interest and engagement.
This is only the beginning of their success as they have also signed partnerships with major retailers such as David Jones and Colab, as well as a master franchise roll-out in India. Flave’s commitment to sustainability is also evident in their catering solutions for corporates and schools, providing healthier and greener lunch options.
Overall, Flave’s future looks bright, and their innovative approach to food is sure to delight consumers in Australia and beyond.
Working with Glide on Flave’s Birchal crowdfunding campaign was a stellar experience and delivered a great result and ROI. Would definitely recommend them.
